As a research-focused NGO, ARK Foundation is dedicated to addressing challenges in health research, health system strengthening, urban health, mental health, and tobacco control.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

As a Research Assistant (Quantitative), you will:

  • Conduct field activities, including data collection, data entry, and data management.
  • Assist in drafting various reviews, such as literature reviews, desk reviews, scoping reviews, and systematic reviews.
  • Prepare ethical clearance documentation for new studies, including translation and transcription tasks, as needed.
  • Assist in drafting academic articles, research reports, policy briefs, concept notes, and other relevant documents.
  • Visit field sites when required.
  • Attend meetings, take notes, prepare meeting minutes, and summarize reports from workshops, conferences, forums, and seminars.
  • Provide general administrative, communication, and logistical support.
  • Support liaison activities with stakeholders and donors.
  • Coordinate with the communications team to develop relevant materials.
Qualifications

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in health economics, economics, public health, development studies, or other related social sciences.
  • At least 1 year of relevant experience in research-oriented fields.
  • A strong desire to learn and pursue a research-oriented career in public health.
  • Strong writing skills, particularly in interpreting quantitative analysis.
  • Excellent organizational skills with keen attention to detail.
  • Proficient communication skills (written and spoken) in both Bangla and English.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and Google Suite.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Willingness to perform field-based activities.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities, time management skills, and teamwork.
  • Interest and dedication to researching communicable and non-communicable disease control and public health issues.
  • Data analysis skills are an advantage.
Job Benefits
  • Gross Salary: 20,000 – 25,000 BDT (per month)
  • Other Benefits:
    • In-house lunch (available on payment).
    • Two days off per week.
