About Me
Lenik Chakma, a health economics enthusiast, is currently working as a Research Assistant at ARK Foundation. He earned both his Bachelor's and Master's degrees from the Institute of Health Economics, University of Dhaka. Previously, he worked as a Research Intern at ARK Foundation from October to December 2022, contributing to key projects such as Community Solutions to Antimicrobial Resistance (COSTAR), Children Learning About Second-hand Smoking (CLASS-III), and Improving Primary Health Care Using Community Clinics in Rural Bangladesh. He has recently begun contributing to the Tobacco-Free Cities project at ARK Foundation.

Beyond his current role, Lenik has gained diverse research experience through various positions across multiple organizations. During these roles, he has managed field coordination, supervised research teams, and handled anthropometric data collection. His data management expertise includes cleaning datasets in R, ensuring variable consistency, and developing comprehensive data dictionaries for documentation purposes.
He has also contributed to environmental health projects, including the development of a costed action plan for the National Menstrual Hygiene Management Strategy 2021.

Lenik possesses expertise in data management, field coordination, and both qualitative and quantitative research. He is proficient in statistical software such as STATA and SPSS, along with other research tools like Kobo Toolbox and REDCap. With his diverse research experiences, Lenik continues to enhance his skills in public health and health economics while making valuable contributions to impactful projects at ARK Foundation.
