Dr. Khalid Hassan is a senior management and research expert/consultant with a unique blend of 25+ years’ experience spanning social and community development, business, and market focusing on emerging markets in North America and Asia. 16 years with Nielsen Company; in Canada led Business Process Improvement as a Black Belt and Managing Director in Bangladesh. He is an experienced Black Belt (Lean Six Sigma) and a recipient of medallions from Nielsen USA in 2012. He is also a Certified Market Researcher recognized by prestigious MRS UK.
He is the Chief Research Officer at Ignis Market Intelligence Canada and also Advisor of South Asian research organization OrQuest – looking after their social science research and international businesses. He is also in the Board of Global Brand Confluence Canada and Executive Committee member of Toronto International Microfinance Summit. One of the authors of a book – Marketing Practices in Developing Economy: “Cases from South Asia“. Prof. Philip Kotler- the marketing Guru, wrote the Foreword of the book. Co-authoring another book with Prof. Saad of Pennsylvania State University – “Marketing Management: Cases from South Asia” to be printed by Prentice Hall in 2014. He is a frequent public speaker in international seminars. He presented research papers in 21 international conferences in Asia, Africa and North America.
