Description

ARK Foundation is inviting applications for the position of Research Associate (Quantitative Researcher & Data Manager) to support a major global health project, COPE-BP (COmmunity-Pharmacies managing hypertension: intervention development and Evaluation in Bangladesh and Pakistan), funded by the NIHR UK and led in Bangladesh by ARK Foundation.

Job Location: Dhaka, with occasional field visits to other cities
Type: Full-time, project-based

About the Role:
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to support the data collection, management, and quantitative analysis activities under the COPE-BP research programme. The Research Associate will play a key role in ensuring high-quality data collection processes, monitoring data consistency, and supporting analysis plans as part of an international research team.

Responsibilities
  1. Assist with the design and pilot testing of quantitative data collection tools and CRFs.
  2. Support recruitment and training of enumerators and monitor field-level data collection.
  3. Manage incoming data, run regular quality checks, and maintain a clean, analyzable dataset.
  4. Liaise with field and trial management teams to ensure timely follow-up and error resolution.
  5. Contribute to descriptive and statistical analyses of quantitative datasets.
  6. Collaborate with national and international team members in regular reporting and publications.
Qualifications
  1. Master’s degree in Statistics, Public Health, Economics, Anthropology, or a related field.
  2. At least 2 years of experience working with quantitative research or evaluation projects.
  3. Proven ability to manage large-scale datasets and implement data cleaning protocols.
  4. Familiarity with digital data collection platforms (such as survey platforms used in trials or public health research).
  5. Experience with software such as STATA, SPSS, or R for data analysis.
  6. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to meet deadlines.

Desirable:

  1. Prior experience in community-based health research.
  2. Understanding of public health interventions related to non-communicable diseases.
