Professor Shah Monir Hossain

Prof. Hossain Graduated in Medicine (MBBS) from Dhaka University. He completed FCPS from Bangladesh College of Physician and Surgeons, and Post Doctorate certificate course from University of Edinburgh, UK. Prof Hossain did M.Phil. from Dhaka University and MPH from North South University, Bangladesh. He retired from Government service in November13, 2010 as Director General of Health Services, Ministry of Health and Family Welfares, Government of Bangladesh. He worked in different position in the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare from 1996 to 2010. He worked as Professor of Pathology in Public Medical Colleges from 1983 to 1996. He worked as Lecturer in Public Medical Colleges from 1978 to 1983. Prof. Hossain worked as a Senior Consultant, Programme Preparation Cell (PPC) of Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, supported by USAID, from March 2011 to December 2011. He is working as Senior National Advisor, FAO-UN, Bangladesh from January 2012. He is a visiting Professor of Public Health at North South University. Prof. Hossain has extensive experience of effectively planning, implementation, management and coordination of public health research and programmes.

Khalid Hasan, PhD

Dr. Khalid Hassan is a senior management and research expert/consultant with a unique blend of 25+ years’ experience spanning social and community development, business, and market focusing on emerging markets in North America and Asia. 16 years with Nielsen Company; in Canada led Business Process Improvement as a Black Belt and Managing Director in Bangladesh. He is an experienced Black Belt (Lean Six Sigma) and a recipient of medallions from Nielsen USA in 2012. He is also a Certified Market Researcher recognized by prestigious MRS UK.

He is the Chief Research Officer at Ignis Market Intelligence Canada and also Advisor of South Asian research organization OrQuest – looking after their social science research and international businesses. He is also in the Board of Global Brand Confluence Canada and Executive Committee member of Toronto International Microfinance Summit. One of the authors of a book – Marketing Practices in Developing Economy: “Cases from South Asia“. Prof. Philip Kotler- the marketing Guru, wrote the Foreword of the book. Co-authoring another book with Prof. Saad of Pennsylvania State University – “Marketing Management: Cases from South Asia” to be printed by Prentice Hall in 2014. He is a frequent public speaker in international seminars. He presented research papers in 21 international conferences in Asia, Africa and North America.

Md. Kausar Alam FCS, ACCA(UK), FCMA, ACA (England & Wales)

Mr. Alam is a Chartered Accountants from the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England & Wales, a Chartered Certified Accountant from United Kingdom, a Cost & Management Accountant and Chartered Secretary from Bangladesh with more than twenty five years’ experience in finance, accounting, compliance, governance focused on corporate and social development sector. He is an MBA from IBA and Masters in Accounting from Dhaka University. He has worked with a British Multinational organization in various capacities, then in a large Bangladeshi Business Group, as the Group Chief Financial Officer and at present, he is working as the CFO of Shun Shing Group, a Hong Kong based business group based in Dhaka.

Mr. Alam is an elected National Council Member of ICMA Bangladesh.  He is the Treasurer and Board Member of Intellectual Property Association of Bangladesh, a member of Standard Setters Working Group in Financial Reporting Council of Bangladesh and President Elect, Rotary Club of Baridhara Sunrise.

Mr. Alam is a permanent Member of Baridhara Cosmopolitan Club Limited, Gulshan North Club Limited, IBA Club Limited and Gulshan Society Limited. He contributes in various professional bodies and Private Universities as resource person and paper presenter. Mr. Alam keeps keen interest in research and social development activities. He is actively contributing in governance and regulatory affairs of ARK Foundation.
