We’re delighted to share that ARK Foundation has been featured in the new World Health Organization (WHO) publication, ‘𝐓𝐚𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐚 𝐒𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐠𝐢𝐜 𝐀𝐩𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐚𝐜𝐡 𝐭𝐨 𝐔𝐫𝐛𝐚𝐧 𝐇𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐭𝐡: 𝐀 𝐆𝐮𝐢𝐝𝐞 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐃𝐞𝐜𝐢𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧-𝐌𝐚𝐤𝐞𝐫𝐬.’
The WHO report highlights that with most of humanity now living in cities; health-oriented, sustainable urban development is no longer a choice but a necessity to ensure equity, resilience, and well-being of urban population.
ARK Foundation’s work in strengthening urban primary healthcare in Dhaka was showcased as a case study for its innovative use of the Simple App, a digital tool improving noncommunicable diseases (NCDs) data collection, reporting, and evidence-based decision-making.
In collaboration with the CHORUS consortium, this initiative demonstrates how local innovation can drive global lessons for healthier, more resilient cities.
