Weโ€™re delighted to share that ARK Foundation has been featured in the new World Health Organization (WHO) publication, ‘๐“๐š๐ค๐ข๐ง๐  ๐š ๐’๐ญ๐ซ๐š๐ญ๐ž๐ ๐ข๐œ ๐€๐ฉ๐ฉ๐ซ๐จ๐š๐œ๐ก ๐ญ๐จ ๐”๐ซ๐›๐š๐ง ๐‡๐ž๐š๐ฅ๐ญ๐ก: ๐€ ๐†๐ฎ๐ข๐๐ž ๐Ÿ๐จ๐ซ ๐ƒ๐ž๐œ๐ข๐ฌ๐ข๐จ๐ง-๐Œ๐š๐ค๐ž๐ซ๐ฌ.’
The WHO report highlights that with most of humanity now living in cities; health-oriented, sustainable urban development is no longer a choice but a necessity to ensure equity, resilience, and well-being of urban population.
ARK Foundationโ€™s work in strengthening urban primary healthcare in Dhaka was showcased as a case study for its innovative use of the Simple App, a digital tool improving noncommunicable diseases (NCDs) data collection, reporting, and evidence-based decision-making.
In collaboration with the CHORUS consortium, this initiative demonstrates how local innovation can drive global lessons for healthier, more resilient cities.
